1. Define the load precisely

Approximate weight, number of pieces or pallets, dimensions and the nature of the goods. This determines the truck type and the price — the more accurate the details, the more accurate the quote.

2. Use suitable packaging

Secure boxes on pallets, stretch-wrap them where needed and add protection for fragile or sharp-edged items.

3. Label clearly

Add the recipient’s details, the number of pieces and handling instructions such as “Fragile” or “This side up” to reduce mistakes during loading and unloading.

4. Prepare the documents in advance

Make sure the invoice or waybill and any documents the recipient needs are ready, and send a copy with your request if possible.

5. Get the loading site ready

Check that the truck can enter and park, that the right loading equipment such as a forklift is available, and that someone is there to receive the driver.

6. Choose a realistic time

Pick a pickup time that matches when the goods will be ready and the working hours at both sites, and tell the team about any access-time restrictions.

7. Share contact details
